"It's time for spring cleaning" tends to stress me out every year but it is totally doable and the difference it makes once you are done is so rewarding! I usually will take a few weeks - start at the end of March and go through April to get it all done because when you try to do it all at once it is very overwhelming! Therefore I am here to provide you a Spring Cleaning Checklist in hopes it will help!
Make a list! - I would start off with figuring it out by rooms. One for Kitchen, one for Bedrooms, then Laundry Room, Bathrooms, and then a General List. Having lists helps so much whether you write it on a white board and erase as you go, use your notepad in your phone or cross them off with a pen - whatever you choose I can promise whether you're crossing off, wiping off, etc. - it will feel amazing once you're done!
Make a Plan! - Figure out the items you are going to do first and then what you're going to do next, and so on. Like I said previously, it's always great to break it up so it is not so overwhelming and if you have a husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, or kids at home, have them help you so you aren't bombarded with all of the spring cleaning chores!

Be Prepared! - Make sure you have all the cleaning supplies you will need! For example - if you're cleaning the bathrooms, make sure you have toilet bowl cleaner, a scrub brush for the tub, an all purpose cleaning spray, glass cleaner, and so on. It's always good to be prepared so when you go to start cleaning, you don't have to worry about not having a certain cleaning item!
Keep up with it the best you can! - Once you are done all of the tasks on your spring cleaning list, keep up with some of them with your weekly cleaning. Some of the things I keep up with daily are the floors, kitchen counters, vacuuming, wiping down furniture, etc. When it comes to weekly, I wash the bedding, clean the bathrooms, window sills, furniture, clean the whole kitchen, etc. Always better to maintain and keep up with things than letting them go so then when spring comes next year, then the list won't be as long :)
Now let's take a look at the actual checklist -
KITCHEN - Now I don't know about you but the kitchen is probably the one room I clean every single day as far as the counters, the cabinets, the sink, etc. But cleaning out the fridge and freezer, the oven, pantry, spices, and behind the fridge - these will be on my list of things to do! The feeling after cleaning out the fridge and freezer and behind the fridge is so rewarding! Nothing like a totally clean kitchen!
BATHROOMS - Most people keep up with their bathrooms, especially the sinks, the toilets, and the floors or at least I know I do! But the big things like scrubbing the tub and the shower, wiping down the knobs, shelves, woodwork, vents, etc, are all very important! One tip for the shower/tub - I tend to use soft scrub and a scrub brush. Put the soft scrub on the tub, scrub it with the brush, then put the water on. Spread the water around and scrub again. Then wash everything off with the water and you should have a nice, clean shower/tub!
BEDROOMS - The bed frame is something that can get so dusty over time as well as the baseboards in the room. Probably something you wouldn't really think about but trust me, behind the bed, that baseboard is probably covered in dust! I usually will take a damp cloth with soap and wipe both of these things down or I will spray all purpose cleaning spray on a cloth and then go in and wipe everything down. Also the lamps, fans, etc, collect dust so easily as time goes on. Definitely something to dust and wipe down.
LAUNDRY ROOM - The laundry room shouldn't take too long! Just be sure to clean behind and under the wash and dryer and put your washing machine through a quick cycle with some cleaning vinegar! It helps get rid of all the built up bacteria and gives the machine a nice cleanse.
GENERAL - As I mentioned there are a lot of things we all keep up with on our daily and weekly schedules but the general items are there to provide other places/items that are scattered around the house that may need cleaning! I usually wash the walls with a damp cloth with soap. You would be surprised how dirty walls can get as time goes on. Same thing with the baseboards - get rid of all that dust! Wash down doors, lights, switch plates, knobs - we touch these so many times throughout the day so always good to wipe off the germs that are sitting there! The rest are pretty straight forward and once these items are cleaned, I promise you will be so happy!
I can tell you now, the next nice day we have, I am cleaning all my windows inside and out, the window sills, and spraying down the screens before putting them back in! Can't wait to check that off the list.
Hope this helps with your Spring Cleaning & if you use this blog or my checklist, be sure to post about it on Instagram so I can repost :)
